Christine and Spencer were married in the backyard of Christine’s family home, looking out over the Collingwood waterfront from a clear tent canopy, and outdoor dance floor lit with string lights under the stars.  Christine chose the most fun and summery tropical wedding theme for the day, complete with bright tropical flowers in the bouquets, and a spectacular off the shoulder dress from Australian bridal designer Grace Loves Lace.   Seeing Christine and Spencer (who could win a Tom Cruise look-alike contest any day) together, their guests were transported from the Collingwood waterfront to a sunny California wedding!

From the get-go it was clear that everyone was there to have a good time, and the bride and groom focused on creating the perfect relaxed atmosphere to spend a picturesque day surrounded by family, friends, and food.  Everything else fell into place beautifully, but it was truly the smiles, laughter, and hugs that filled the day that I loved to photograph the most!

Some highlights from the day include their excited first look in a mossy forest glade with dappled summer light filtering through, a round tropical inspired ceremony arch framing the iconic Collingwood escarpment in the background, a sunset  that was the queen of all sunsets during dinner, and the sweetest flower girl who kept us smiling all day long.  Christine and Spencer’s family and friends are the most lovely and happy group of people together, so of course it was the perfect opportunity for me to capture all the candid cocktail hour and reception shots that I love!
